Designed with web standards
This web site has been designed to be web standards compliant, using XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS 2. It has also been designed to be accessible, which is why the entire menu system is text based and all e-mail addresses, links and graphical elements have alt and title attribute text tags.
To make it easier for visually impaired visitors there is a skip navigation link in every page which bypasses the menu system and takes the visitor directly to the main content of the page.
Tables are used only for the purpose of presenting tabular data without any unneccessary presentational elements. All tables have a summary tag describing their function.
All external links open in new browser instances. Each individual page has a date stamp below the lefthand menu showing when the page was last updated.
Validation
This web site validates correctly according to the W3C rules for XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS. It also follows the basic rules in the W3C WCAG Priority 1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and the Section 508 Standards, which can be validated using Cynthia Says™ Portal.
