Whenever you need a competent load balancer, you used to be facing a large investment in new, dedicated hardware. Should it really be that difficult to grow your infrastructure? What if you operate an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and have a need to deploy load balancers dynamically?
The solution
We offer a feature complete layer 3/4/7 load balancer, either as a part of our security routers and as a virtual machine. Their incredibly small footprint and flexibility makes them ideal to deploy on-demand on virtual platforms.
- SSL acceleration: In cases when there is a need to offload servers from SSL/TLS encryption, the load balancer can be configured to do so. Because Intel's AES-NI instructions are supported, you can expect many gigabits of SSL traffic, both in virtual and hardware on such servers.
- Layer 4/7: Intelligent load balancing which understands protocols such as HTTP and DNS, and configured using powerful protocol statements is available, allowing you to do just about anything.
- Layer 3: Sometimes you just need an extremely fast layer 3 load balancer. Because this load balancer is built upon our router, it provides the means of doing several Gbps and hundreds of thousands packets/sessions per second, given enough hardware.
